The action group Gaslicht ist Berlin thanks its sponsors and supporters.

Villa Grisebach's managing partner Bernd Schultz initiated and sponsored an advertisement, which called on Berliners to cast a vote on the future of Berlin's gas street lighting. A large number of Berliners voted for the preservation of gas lamps. The result of the vote was passed on to the policy makers in charge with a letter which included all the arguments for preserving Berlin's gas lamps.

Although Berlin's politicians repeatedly call for greater civic involvement, none of the policy makers responded to the citizen's vote or the letter.

The advertisement initiated and sponsored by Villa Grisebach was published in the Tagesspiegel, a major Berlin Newspaper, on 14 November 2012.
